Shanghai trip 6

yup. 6. thats the no. of i have been to Shanghai le. as usual, went to meet frens n have fun again in Shanghai. dun tink suzhou is boring or wat.... just that shanghai is more fun.

u can have a wonderful nice cheap realxing weekend in suzhou, less expenses.... in shanghai everything is expensive sia but the theres just more food, clubs, pubs , ktv there.

MARK
MR mark visit shanghai on this particular weekend, n as usual m he wanted to see ' cais' n shanghai babes and guess he was quite satisfy with wat his saw... dear mark was approached by ang moh cais during his clubbing times in ATTICA.

CLUBBING
yup, one of the main purpose of this trip was the Shanghai-Suzhou party held in ATTICA. i can say attica is much better than Bon Bon , just that it does not have unlimited free drinks.. we booked a table and opened bottles of drinks, shots n many many.... danced in techno n RnB ... so many ang mohs ard , even more than chinese i tink.... realli nice to see daphne , Ccc n frens again in Shanghai... but aiping n meixin was no where to be found..

our suzhou gals all got drunk .... with peiying in the worst state... n total no image sia .... enting was abit jialat also... keep sticking to my shoulders like booster like taht ... tink she wiped her mouth on my shirt...eek. but enting can dance well sia..... miss yushan n shuhui also had headache ... maybe anshu was the most awake of all gals.... wat abt the guys??? patrick ?? hmmmm......... worst among the guy but was able to walk ard and talk .... n can dance well worrr... chiongster. poor loy didnt drink much not dance cos of PY condition.... wat abt mi? .... nv drink alot but dance onli..... i dun want to vomit and throw face again and i was there to take care of of those drunkens..... i went gal toilet dunno how many times sia....

BUT attica was so fun n all ppl enjoyed it alot ..... music was nice n ppl were fun... had a great view on the BUND... terrific!!!

KTV
had a overnite ktv at 'haoledi' a famous ktv place just like kbox of sg, but just that its alot more highclass ..
a whole nite of ktv for jsut 170 rmb --- 6 hrs... yup, allan tan realli learnt to open his mouth in ktv session recently .... singing the top tiongs' songs and those songs that i like.... like 'yong qi' , ' ni shi wo zui sheng ai de nui ren' n fir songs..... etcc.....

prepare to hear mi sing in KBOX soon... although i stil sound mono-tone....:(

Shopping
went to nan jin west road to visit the Zara there, a veri big zara but i got no maniee to buy n someone refuse to send mi maniee to buy.... ( the person wil noe who she is )

aftter taht i went qi pu again, nv sian of it, and buy 3 tees fr ard 100 rmb.. big spender is ah loy....shoe n clothes,

Arcade

yup,we visited on of the top arcade in shanghai n it was realli gd.. opened by sega. played a alot of games inside and the best was F1 racing . paid 30 rmb for jsut a game but at least i can say i raced F1 be4 now. although i ended up 5th .. from my starting 12th position... y do i have to start last. siannn

EATING
ate Coco curry hse at bu xing jie ,with mark , jun hang and my sz frens.... this was just be4 the clubbing session. ahh,,, nice curry , i just miss curry again.... suzhou dun have curry de.....

i also went to eat BI FENG TANG at nan jin west road just be4 the visit to zara. wor food are quite nice depending on wat u order but price is nice too... we ordered so much tim sum again , roast duck, bao, fried mees, porridge, chicken feet, cheong fan, beef noodle ++++ yum yum

also went to mei shi jie at west road, ate chicken wings, corn, mushrooms, chicken skin n sheng jian bao.... n didnt even pay 5 sgd .... wat more can u request.... i noe i will miss the food in shanghai when i go back sg.

Transportation
cab, cab n cab , this trip i spent so much on cabbing.... ex sia....

the bullet train back to sz was onli 30 min but i didnt manage to buy a sitting ticket n had to stand for the trip but i decide to sit on the floor with loy n PY .... no image but not gonna care abt it.....

Accomodation
first time staying in SH hotel n i felt how expensive n waste maniee to stay hotel le.... sori daphne i will be staying yr hse sooner rather than later again....
how i wish i had saved the hotel maniee on 5 more pieces of tees... reali a waste

oh well, my adventure in China will come to an end in 4 weeks time. left 16 working days, 8 schooling days, n 4 weekends. hmmm, will i ever miss this place again, where i live ' wealthyly' and travelled almost every weekends and holidays. ppl here are quite nice n its interesting to see how ppl live here. can realli see the wide income gap effect in suzhou, where the rich r living such gd life while many live their normal lives in a corner of Suzhou. ( beggers are not that many in china unlike thailand n vietnam).

last weekend!
spent my last weekend in Suzhou, and was a veri nice slacking weekend. no longer do i need to view gardens, search for local delights, n visit local attractions, n no more rushing and squeezing for buses and train while travelling.

my frens and i just get together and go for lunch n dinner together n also talking alot of cocks. such carefree weekend! " wonder if i stil have a chance to experience this when i am back in sg" ......

wat we talk abt??
1) gals n r/s haha. we were wondering why so many of the good guys here are unattached?? patrick la, yifei la, loy , n samuel + mi. talking abt patrick n his months of pursue, yifei being chased<------ lucky guy, loy n his lack of luv luck BUT DAMN GD LUCK in mahjiong ..... i lose 150 rmb to him le.knn...;;;;; . LASTLY, samuel n his criterias of christian gf. ok, lets not talk abt myself :D

if any gals want their photos, kindly msn mi, will be glad to send u all their photos.

dun worry , they are all much mature than mi , much more smarter and hardworking :D

2) next, post-GIP trip . ? where to? tibet or jiu zai gou?? hmmm, both are a mus go places but i can onli choose one. anyone willing to advice mi ?

3) we also talk abt - will we all ever meet up in SG again after we united with our family and frens . my daily dinner ke kis, will we even meet up for lunch in sch once a month? lets see. but i already promise a few to drive them out for supper ++ NASI LEMAK!! ah lian bee hoon, n bukit timah prata n BLK 85.

4) by the time i wrote this post, most of the IA students ( means engineer students Yr3) have completed their IA final report le, while i stil got the time to blog and i am onli at my content pages now.... damn. lucky i got a later dateline, 1st Aug.

wats left? --- one PA report, One reflection to write, 2 chinese essays, not much cash, 4 weeks .

MISSES

16 weeks have past since u i arrived in Suzhou le, when u tink u are quite enjoying life in China, u started to tink abt home n sg.

no more mood at work le after wuyi, just feel like GIP is ending le, its time to rest well and enjoy the last few moments in China le, quite sick of my the food here, the travelling, the ktv n pool, the daily take cab n bus life, sleeping in hostel, doing my own laundry :), playing dota against computer.zzzz, trying to find english games but all are in chinese...... haiiiiii >>>>>>>> decided to open up my acc n start spending abit more n enjoy my time le..... maybe haagen daaz tonite?? :D

starting to miss home, family , my eeyore, my computer, my rv frens, ntu frens, og mates, gaming mates, my jiemeis n stb.
miss my morning soccer, badminton, n dota? miss sg food,---->( boon lay nasi, satay , rojak ,++++) , miss jurong , MIss my Mahjiong also n maybe the NTU tutorial class?

and MISS MY CAR .... dunno how isit le, stil as black+shiny as be4? cant wait to get my hands on my steering wheel, legs on the accerator , eyes on gals on the road :) ..

haha... some of my complaints and misses... bear with it. will be back real soon .

MAY Holidays --

this was a new holiday to me and frens. China has 3 long holidays, and that include the Spring festival, May holiday(labour day) and their National Day. These 3 holidays last for 1 week and it was a way the government attempt to booast the internal economy through internal spendings among the chinese.

i was all excited by the arrival of the MAY holidays , as i could finally escape from my BORING work life and sch. When it did finally arrived, i decide to take this opportunity to travel to Xi'an, Loyang, Songshan, Huashan, He nan and Yellow River.

Trip mates are : Allan, Jiahui, Yanglong, Anne, Liting, Enting..... ( all engineer students except mi):D
Cost: 1880 rmb for a 4D3N tour + long hours of train ride ( 2 nites on the train)

u know wat? i actualli wanted to experience a nite on the train and i finally got the chance. took a 12 hours train ride to Xi'an and had a OK sleep on my journey there. ......... i tt i could be champion by taking such a long hr train ride to Xi'an but the GIP mongolians did even better 31 hrs of train ride......KAO:::: ouchh....

nvm.... headed towards Xi'an with an hidden excitment... hoping everything will turn out to be fun n interesting.

By the time i arrived , i already realise one thing """" dun even try to travel in CHina during Wuyi..... "crowds kills"......theres jsut too many ppl ard, ppl here call this the ‘五一黄金周’。 its either u molest ppl, or ppl molest u .... sadddddddddddd ( JH 's fav word' )

DAY 1 XI'AN

8th wonder of the world ----- Terra-Cotta Warriors

At last, my first wonder and many to come soon ( i hope). onw into the pit sites, i am already walking with thousands of ppl , who like mi, attracted to this attraction by its reputation as one of the greatest site of all time. To mi, they are jsut mud curvings dynasty warriors standing in rows. But they certainly have a history of why they are standing here.

Deem as the protectors of Emperor Qin tomb. They have guarded the tomb for hundreds of years before they were discovered by a farmer.

after squeezing for like 5 min , i finally got into the first row and videoed wat i saw. acting like a typical tiong, i stood there for like 10-15 min, holding my cam high, blocking ppl view while i happily appreciate the terra-cotta warriors. There was a ang moh aunty who was ' tu lan ' of mi for taking my own sweet time, but who care,, she has been outnumbered by CHINESE. too bad...
Overall rating: 9/10Next, we went bypass the tomb ( or hill) of Emperor Qin. and it was realli huge. It was said that the tomb was kept at the hill and till now, ppl have yet to open to tomb ( so as to preserve his body) . anyway, we jsut bypass it onli, nothing much also. i just can onli thx this dude for building the Great Wall for mi and frens to climb. "arigato" ..... we went straight to a building which imitate the structure of the place where emperor Qin tomb coffin was kept. ok , i veri time wasting trips n 不好看！！！..

DAY 4 开封，黄河， 郑州

Last day of my Wuyi trip le, finally gg home ( suzhou ) . went to 3 places.
2nd stop: 铁塔。 its one of the mus go place in KAIFENG due to it long history. its is said that from far , the pagoda look like a metal pagoda but it was actualli built with bricks. just another pagoda with gardens and chinese building ... nothing interesting for mi.
Overall rating: 6/10 Final stop. 黄河。 it was a bonus of this trip. a chance for the tour guide to earn more. as they decide to bring us there and earn some extra and i dun mind gg also for 100 rmb. had a nice boat ride along the calm huang river. and the river is realli yellow and filled with weird smell. nice boat ride. nice being on 黄河。its the excitment of gg to one of the oldest river of CHINA. Overall rating : 8/10
