北京五日新年游

kk, the journey of Beijing is finally coming to an end... yet again, we woke up at 6.30am and had a rush breakfast. As usual, we fought a war inside the hotel restaurant with the locals for food. Quite used to it le since its already the 4th and the last war liao. i took a plastic bag and threw alot of cookies into it, nv let the sg flag and spirit down ba :)

ok, this day, it was not such a gd day for touring as cold air and mist had arrived in BJ and we could hardly see anything,, u will noe why when u see my pics. Firstly, we visited the Temple of Heaven , but i call it the Temple of Mist. (took photo with a korean family n her daughter).

We also visited one of the nine MIAO HUI in BJ. Its damn big la, toook mi 45 min to reach the end of the festive street. Theres like abt 200 stalls selling food, accessories, games,etc,,,,, realli enjoyed the time here ( This is wat u call CNY atmosphere).

In the noon, went to one of the 3 lama temple in China. Also a place where the beijing gip ppl met the suzhou gip visitors. Theres a 6 storey tall buddha in this temple. ( no pic allowed)

ok , its my first visit to one of the 7 natural wonders of the world------THE GREAT WALL of China. Realli an absolute beauty of China. heres some pics of the magnificent 八达岭长城。

we onli had 2 hr to climb to the highest point of 八达岭长城. intially, we took our time to enjoy the climb up to the highest point, Such great scenery throughout the journey.... onli the ntu students chose to climb the Great Wall, the other tourists decided to take the mini-train to the top. It was realli a veri veri tiring climb, but we finally reach the top after an hour or so.. and the interesting part comes now.

ALL the people were at the top pushing and squeezing to take photo at the peak of the great wall. didnt have a pic of the great crowds. cos i cant move and cant take out my camera as i am stuck to the great wall's wall all the way till i reach my turn to have a pic with the peak. my butt, legs, chest, face was touched all over.--- so gals --take care. OKOK, at least i finally conquered the Great Walls of China.( portion of it) .........ok after the squeezing and chickenwinging at the peak, we had to run down as time is running out. But we had to be more careful cos any slip and u will roll to the bottom liao.... so damn steep .

thx Mr Ma for the gd sg food for my lunch... i had ba ku teh and roti prata for lunch, was damn ex la..

my prata cost sg$3 each(plain prata) and ba ku teh cost $6 .... ( YES, sg food sia, we were so happy to see an indian making prata, nv had this feeling before)

we had a good conversation, talking abt property market, stock market, the sg govt , human beings, and rat test..... also learnt abt the importance of wealth management and the expected economic downturn soon....

( sounds boring???............)

but it was actualli quite interesting cos it is part and parcel of our life just that we didnt pay much attention to those issue.

kk, gg back to work now -- gonna do my market research now.

Day 1

First time spending my CNY in China. Me and 14 other gip mates travelled to Beijing to spend our CNY. One of the best thing i recalled was the viewing of the whole beijing city from the plane during CNY. u can realli see the whole city lited up with lights and fireworks, its almost impossible to explain the beauty of thousands of fireworks lighting up the whole Beijing Nite.

While travelling to our hotel, we were greeted by thousands of fireworks and crackers throughout the streets of beijing. although it was like 12 mn, no one was going to sleep on the bus yet, all were just having fun and enjoying the different kind of CNY atmosphere in CHina.

Finally, i get to met up with SHiting, Kirsty and Siewling in Beijing on the 5th day of my tour in Beijing. Realli happy to see them again. We met up at a famous lama temple in BJ, soon the gals brought mi to a shopping mall to get a nike shoe (120RMB). u guys must realli see how the gals 'sha jiao' with the salesperson in order to get a 70% slash in price for my pair of shoe.

soon after, we went to ate BEIJING ROASTED DUCK at da dong roasted duck shop. it was so nice lor... we ordered 3 ducks and we were taught of 3 ways to eat the ducks. We also went to choose the ducks that we like... i mean choose the roasted ducks and not those yet to be killed one. the ducks are damn nice la, as said, 不上长城，非好汉，不吃烤鸭，真遗憾。 u guys much come eat!!!. just to inform, i ate 烤鸭 for both lunch and dinner that day.

we sang KTV after our dinner. as usual, kirsty sang so well again. i always luv to hear her voice. siewling and ah ting also sang veri well too. As usual, i sat there and listern to them sing with all my other gip frens from soochow. Guess our fav song that nite. ITs 兴乐团的 ‘ONE NITE IN BEIJING" .

Went to stay over at shiting's house for a nite. their house so big la as compare to mine in soochow. The gals become ' huan zhu ge ge' for that moment when they wore that thing i bought for them in the pic. now they SUDDENLY become so cute. Sad, yeeting was sick and didnt manage to meet up with her. Pls take care of yourself and get well fast. Will bring u ard soochow again when u visit me again.

Our first long holiday in CHina is here liao, 16thFeb--25th Feb.. u cant get this in SG. Todae, is 小年夜( 1 night before CNYeve). We had our reunion dinner at 小肥羊。 We booked 2 vip rooms and had our steamboat inside this 4 storey resturant. We ordered tons of items like sotong balls, meat balls, AAA grade mutton, veg, spring roll, fishballs, fish slices, pancakes, ++++++++++++

Todae, after reunion dinner, we celebrated Enting's birthday. Happy 25th Bday!! We got her a musical bday card n musical candles, and a nice cake:D. We also got a great view from our room, people in Sz was launching fireworks into the sky from the building next to us. So,,,, we watched the beautiful fireworks while having our steamboat.

Guess wat we gonna do after dinner, FIRECRACKERS AND FIREWWORKS!! We played firecrackers in the sch's basketball court-- dunno if its legal or not. We launched fireworks, lite up firecrackers............................... so loud, so beautiful,so chio, so colorful,sooooo.....excited!

OK, i will just play again after my trip in BJ or even in BJ.

kk, now i gonna pack my bags for CNY trip to beijing le.......... Hope all my frens enjoy CNY and collect more hangbaos. HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

杭州二日美境游

tell u guys, Hangzhou is a must go place. Too difficult to describe by my limited vocab. Just plain beauty!! HZ is a 2hr trip by bus from Soochow. Due to CNY, the bus station is filled with thousands of people buying tickets and waiting for buses. Nv in life will u see this scenery in Sg.

Day 1

met up with jamie, a hangzhou fren from ntu. Thx to her, my frens and i were able to book our hotel and local tour easily. She also showed us around Westlake.( the most famous tourist destination in HZ) . i think i took more than 300 photos from HZ, so will be compiling the photos in 9in1 format.

A visit to 三潭印月. An island in Westlake. It is a place where we can see 5 moons on the water of westlake on every mth 的初一十五。

Hangzhou trip is over and its another week of office life. Certainly enjoyed my weekend at the beautiful Hangzhou( HZ updates soon....) too tired to write on my HZ trip le... next time ba

played billard after work with my colleague and ate shandong jian bin from a roadside stall. that was my dinner i guess. cos after that, i went to a 粥浦 to eat my most suxy dinner ever..... ITS SUX!! guys in soochow, pls dun go there again and the uncle even try to cheat me 1 packet of rice sia...

poor yushan( vannesa ), was sick over the weekend and miss out the fun. but she got a 1 week MC. shiok sia.
hope u recover well!!

Got a visit from Yeeting from Gip Beijing. long time no see and shes as cute as ever. I met up with her late and we cant shop at 观前街 as all the shops were closing. in the end, we ate at Soochow mac. Sori abt that. I dunno why this gal refuse to take photo alone, can hardly get a shot on her...haiii..

Finally she posed. Seeee so chiooo...

We ended up at a local pub where mi and yeeting joined up with my colleagues who were there drinking and playing games. Heres a pic from us... onli one. ( thx for saving my camera yeeting !)

sori for the late update, cos i went to hangzhou over the weekend, i will update on my HZ trip later.

We had our Co. dinner at a very high class restaurant and had a 12-courses dinner. I also drank alot of red wine. China ppl cheer to one another by hitting the wine glass on the table, in the end, we all taught them our way --- "yummmmm sayyyyyyyy".

After that, we exchanged gifts with one another and i got a veri luvly gift from my colleague(Qianjing).
