MAY Holidays --
this was a new holiday to me and frens. China has 3 long holidays, and that include the Spring festival, May holiday(labour day) and their National Day. These 3 holidays last for 1 week and it was a way the government attempt to booast the internal economy through internal spendings among the chinese.
i was all excited by the arrival of the MAY holidays , as i could finally escape from my BORING work life and sch. When it did finally arrived, i decide to take this opportunity to travel to Xi'an, Loyang, Songshan, Huashan, He nan and Yellow River.
Trip mates are : Allan, Jiahui, Yanglong, Anne, Liting, Enting..... ( all engineer students except mi):D
Cost: 1880 rmb for a 4D3N tour + long hours of train ride ( 2 nites on the train)
u know wat? i actualli wanted to experience a nite on the train and i finally got the chance. took a 12 hours train ride to Xi'an and had a OK sleep on my journey there. ......... i tt i could be champion by taking such a long hr train ride to Xi'an but the GIP mongolians did even better 31 hrs of train ride......KAO:::: ouchh....
nvm.... headed towards Xi'an with an hidden excitment... hoping everything will turn out to be fun n interesting.
By the time i arrived , i already realise one thing """" dun even try to travel in CHina during Wuyi..... "crowds kills"......theres jsut too many ppl ard, ppl here call this the ‘五一黄金周’。 its either u molest ppl, or ppl molest u .... sadddddddddddd ( JH 's fav word' )
DAY 1 XI'AN
8th wonder of the world ----- Terra-Cotta Warriors
At last, my first wonder and many to come soon ( i hope). onw into the pit sites, i am already walking with thousands of ppl , who like mi, attracted to this attraction by its reputation as one of the greatest site of all time. To mi, they are jsut mud curvings dynasty warriors standing in rows. But they certainly have a history of why they are standing here.
Deem as the protectors of Emperor Qin tomb. They have guarded the tomb for hundreds of years before they were discovered by a farmer.
after squeezing for like 5 min , i finally got into the first row and videoed wat i saw. acting like a typical tiong, i stood there for like 10-15 min, holding my cam high, blocking ppl view while i happily appreciate the terra-cotta warriors. There was a ang moh aunty who was ' tu lan ' of mi for taking my own sweet time, but who care,, she has been outnumbered by CHINESE. too bad...
Overall rating: 9/10
Next, we went bypass the tomb ( or hill) of Emperor Qin. and it was realli huge. It was said that the tomb was kept at the hill and till now, ppl have yet to open to tomb ( so as to preserve his body) . anyway, we jsut bypass it onli, nothing much also. i just can onli thx this dude for building the Great Wall for mi and frens to climb. "arigato" ..... we went straight to a building which imitate the structure of the place where emperor Qin tomb coffin was kept. ok , i veri time wasting trips n 不好看！！！.. Overall rating: 3/10
Next, we went to a place where Yang Gui Fei bath.. :D -- when u entered the place, u can see alot of yang gui fei walking ard to let ppl take pic with them. i was wondering if there will be anyone acting as HER while bathing :D. .... finally reached HER bathroom, after visiting several boring rooms.... and wat i saw was an empty bath with coins inside. Chinese realli like to throw coins.... at ponds, at buddha, at fountains n now at empty bathtube....zzzzzzzzzz. of cos i nv waste maniee. instead a bought a limited edition 'first day cover' of Chairman Mao. 85 rmb.
Overall raing: 6/10 
finally, reached our first hotel n one that i can nv imagine. the six of us are all given a room each. not bad consider we joined a budget tour. queen size bed, working desk, nice bathroom, tv, and 4 PILLOWS. onli this hotel is worth mentioned, others are the normal one. i even received a call .. " 先生，你要按摩 吗？ ” yup, my first ' extra service' call .... too tired to bother abt her and slam the phone straight after.
I was too engross in my Liverpool vs Chelsea European Champion League Semi- Finals. trailing 1-0 from Stamford Bridge. my excellent Reds, equalise at the 22 min through Daniel Aggar. and my pepe reina saved 2 penalties to sent my team into the Final. N a repeat the 2005/2006 Final----> Milan Vs Liverpool. Cant waited for this, but this time round, i will be watching it in Suzhou. gonna start chosing my pub le. No matter wats the result, Liverpool always in my heart, my heros. "You Will Never Walk Alone"
